If you changed camshafts or machined the block and heads you may have to change your pushrod length (ALWAYS check before installing).

Pre-1974 heads must install a straight 3/8" rocker stud in place of the factory bottleneck style. 1974 to 1991 must machine head for guide plates and drill & tap for 3/8" rocker studs.  If using Edelbrock Cylinder Heads (Part Numbers 60119 or 60139), they already come with 3/8" Rocker Studs, so no stud change is required.
