Product Details
Our 4-2-1 headers are a free flowing, mid-length design header. These headers increase gas mileage and give your engine more horsepower across the entire rpm range, although they build the most power in the middle rpm range. This makes these headers great for towing and steep grades.
The 4-2-1 headers are constructed with 14-gauge mild steel with 3/8 inch thick flanges and V-Band clamps. These headers have an o-ring welded into the flange to ensure a leak free seal! Don't forget about the cool sound these add to your rig!!!
These are now available with Y-Pipe for 1980-1991 models. They also include an Oxygen Sensor Bung and Plug!
**Note: 1979-Earlier Y-Pipe's are not available pre-made. This is due to the 1979-Earlier models having a passenger-side offset axle, where the y-pipe has to go underneath the front driveshaft. Due to many variations, a y-pipe is not pre-made for the 1979-Earlier style. We do have the option available in the pull-down menu to sell you the pieces to connect to our headers, with the knowledge that you will have to use those pieces (and others) to fabricate your own y-pipe on those models.
**Note: If using ARP Head Bolts / Studs, you will need to clearance the header to head flange at the bolts slightly
**Note: When installing headers, you need to install everything loosely at first. Then, tighten things working from the tailpipe going forward, ending with the headers. This pulls everything into the correct position and will clear the oil pan. Oil pan clearance will be tight.
