Krikit I V-Belt Tensioning Gauge!

This tool is a MUST-HAVE, and is the proper way to set tension on your v-belts.  

When you think your belt is super tight and won't slip, odds are you are only about half the proper tension your belt should have.  Using this gauge will help ensure your belts are tight, not slipping and keeping your alternator, water pump, power steering pump and AC are turning at the correct rate.

To use, simply slide your finger into the flexible loop (yellowish loop in the picture), then set the tool over your v-belt (there is a groove on the underside to fit over the v-belt).  Then gently press down until the tool makes a click sound.  Once it clicks, look at the engraved mark on the metal where the plastic pivot lever intersects, and that tells you what your belt is currently tensioned to.  You then use that to compare to what the belt manufacturer lists for proper tension on your specific belt, and adjust as needed. 

It's super simple, and a great eye-opener as to how loose belts can be when people think they are properly tensioned.

This tool will work on any v-belt or v-ribbed belt, regardless of make / model.
