Tailgate Only Woodgrain Trim

Need to replace just the tailgate trim on your 1981-1991 Full Size Jeep?  We now carry the correct 2-piece woodgrain trim kit for those years!

This can be ordered as trim only, or with a new decal.  Note that this is ONLY for the tailgate. 

**Note: 1979 and 1980 Models were different, and this kit does not fit.  If you have a 1979 or 1980, please contact us as we may have a solution.

These match the original trim and are very high quality.  The kit is for just the tailgate.  Adhesive strips are pre-installed. 

**Note that if you order the woodgrain decals with our trim kit, that the woodgrain decals are made to order.  Please allow 4-7 business days for standard woodgrain decal and 5-10 business days for Wagonmaster woodgrain decal to be made and shipped out.

BASIC INSTALLATION SUGGESTIONS:

Be sure to install the woodgrain / trim in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat.  Also note that in the corners, you'll want to use painters tape to hold them firm for 24 hours, and we recommend using a sound deadening roller (or similar) to carefully apply pressure along all the trim to help it adhere.  And sometimes customers have found added success using additional 3m double sided adhesive trim tape under the corners.  Lastly, if your vehicle was recently painted, we recommend waiting 30 days before application to allow the paint time to de-gas.
