Fits Like A Glove That Drives Straight Like An Arrow
Well built, solid thick construction, alleviates a number of steps in the install process, and it's how this steering shaft was supposed to be from the factory. It fit perfectly and my J10 drives like it's brand new - no slop.

Steering Shaft
Pricey but worth it. Super heavy duty and zero slop. If I ever get another FSJ this will be one of the first things I swap in.

Great shaft - tough fit
This thing is worth every penny. On my 89 GW, it was a tick tough to get on the steering wheel shaft due to tolerance. It was so tight I didn't think it was the right part. After counting ridges and making sure it's correct, I had to heat it up a bit and then it was able to be knocked into place with a hammer. BJ's Off-Road Response: we don't recommend heating or hammering, as that usually indicates a very fine burr that needs to be removed with a file.

Steers better than new !
Stop the issues that the factory rag joint shaft suffers from. No wandering, solid feel a necessary upgrade. Make no mistake, these are quality made shafts that you can only get from BJs.

Good quality!
In an effort to chase steering slop, I purchased this. It is a really high quality piece. Replacing the rag joint helped. If you are questioning the cost, I found the parts individually and the total here is less than buying them separately. Also, quick tip - don't paint the insert portion of the shaft as there is very little slack between the inner and outer pieces. The paint will not allow you to put them together.

Stopped the wandering! My 1978 Jeep Cherokee wandered the road. There was only about 1/16" of play in the upper joint of my original shaft, which apparently was enough to matter. This fixed it.

Money well spent
After trying several different options I finally broke down and ordered this...I questioned every minute why I had just spent that much money on this...until the box got here and I opened it. This exceeded my expectations and it was worth every cent.
