Exterior Mirror mount Gaskets
This pair of exterior mirror gaskets which are molded specifically for some Cherokee/Grand Cherokee models around the early 1980's also worked to provide a correct angle-mount for these mirrors on my 4th generation 1979 CHEVROLET Nova doors. In the same location of the original, small GM mirrors which have very small mirror surface to provide safe rear viewing. Plus the manual view adjustment-ball of these approximately 50 year old, standard GM mirrors also do not hold position. JAGUAR XJ6/XJ12 (not XJS mirror-version) & predominantly JEEP Grand Cherokee mirror base angles the same. This JEEP specific gasket will allow the JAGUAR (wrecking yard) sourced L & R mirrors, to bolt onto the JEEP door level, with these JEEP gasket ordered from BJ's FULL-SIZE JEEP PARTS. Great replacement
Replacing these is a no-brainer if the door skin is already removed. The old base plates were chalky looking and these were a great looking and fitting replacement. Easy to install.
