AX-15 Manual 5-Speed Conversion Kit

Jeep AX-15 Conversion Kits!  We now offer a 5-Speed Conversion Kit that includes the Transmission and all parts necessary for a seamless installation.  

The AX15 transmission is a 5-speed, and is a great upgrade for the Full Size Jeep.  Each transmission is brand new (NOT rebuilt), and can help you get better mileage as well.  Plus its just fun to row through the gears!  Features a 13 degree tail-housing rotation. 

These kits are set up to use the Dana 300 transfer case (found in 1980-1986 CJ’s) for passenger-drop / passenger side applications.  If you are going to use the Dana 300 for a driver-drop application, you will need to invert the transfer case using a flip kit (ie: downeastoffroad had a good kit).  Or, you can use a Jeep-based NP231, NP241 or Dana 20 (all left-hand only drop versions), or an Atlas (which we also sell).

These retrofit kits will include:

• New Transmission
• Adapter Plate with Fastening Hardware & Pilot Bushing
• AX-15 to Dana 300 Adapter & Clocking Ring
• Bellhousing with 2 Pilot Bushings, Throw-Out Bearing, Shift Fork, Fork Boot & Pivot
• Clutch Disc & Pressure Plate
• Flywheel

 

This kit is for use with manual shift linkage, or you can upgrade to our Hydraulic Clutch Conversion Kit.
